About Us
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company, revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective. Our mission is to bolster the technological edge of NATO Allies and their partners to deter aggression and defend Europe.
About the team
You will join a highly dedicated and collaborative team working at the heart of our engineering and operations organization. The team brings together great people who care deeply about moving complex programs forward and supporting each other in delivering against ambitious goals.Your mission
As a Project Management Intern, you are the "connective tissue" of our engineering and operations teams. Your mission is to support the Program Management Office (PMO) in making complex hardware and software programs move faster.
This is not a "coffee-fetching" internship. You will be at the organizational core of strategic defense programs, helping to translate engineering chaos into structured progress. You will support our Senior Program Managers in tracking milestones, unblocking engineers, and ensuring that communication flows smoothly across the company. This role is a testing ground: we are looking for high-potential talent who can prove themselves during this internship and transition into a permanent Junior Project Manager role.Responsibilities
- You assist in tracking project milestones and workstreams using tools like Jira and Confluence, ensuring that task statuses are up-to-date and deadlines are visible.
- You support the organization of cross-functional meetings, capture key decisions, track action items, and follow up with owners to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You help build and maintain project dashboards and status reports for leadership, providing a clear view of program health and risks.
- You identify bottlenecks in our current workflows and work with the PMO to propose and implement leaner, more efficient processes.
- You ensure project documentation is structured, audit-ready, and easily accessible for engineering, production, and operations teams.
- You assist in coordinating logistics between teams, such as ensuring hardware prototypes are ready for scheduled testing windows.
Qualifications
- You are currently enrolled in or between a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with a strong technical affinity, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- You are a quick study with software and ideally have experience with Jira, Confluence, or advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
- You have a natural ability to organize information and enjoy taking a messy list of problems and turning it into a prioritized plan.
- You are a clear and direct communicator in both English and German, comfortable interacting with both local technicians and international engineers.
- You are a proactive "doer" who sees a gap and fills it, taking initiative and asking for feedback rather than waiting for permission.
- You are comfortable in a demanding, mission-driven environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
- You are able to maintain clarity and drive progress while juggling a diverse and disparate range of tasks.
- You must be a citizen of a NATO member state due to export control and security regulations.
Nice to have
- You have previous internship experience in project management, consulting, or a fast-paced engineering environment.
- You have experience working with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence in a professional or university environment.
- You have exposure to engineering, hardware, production, aerospace, or other technically complex projects.
